How do you decide which system of medicine is better, if you are not objective?

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1241713.cms

I don't trust homeopathy myself, but I am a little wary of a bunch of allopaths making the case for homeopathy's inutility as a treatment method. That seems so self - serving. But then where is the middle ground? How does one decide which treatment is better in an objective manner?

That is the same question that homeopathy doctors are asking? And this study comes from the same organization that reported homeopathy drugs are 245% better than placebo. Talk about self - contradictory!

Being left handed is bad for women? Research or Voodo Science?

I am sorry. I know, technically I am part of the "academic" community, and I am supposed to accept research, statistics and publications as means of expressions, I cannot readily accept the latest "discovery" going around, claiming that women who are left handed are more prone to breast cancer. That would make a few c.pigs among us to turn around and watch how their women write and worry about the future. It sounds very obnoxious.

The only reasoning is that "perhaps", overexposure to sex hormones previous to birth causes the gauchi-ness and changes in the breast tissue. Maybe, but then how much of this is truly scientific. I tend to think, not much!

An Ironic First Post

The FDA Director Resigns

I just read this. Isn't this is a position that requires a great passion, combined with dispassion, because eventually more people will end up hating you than loving you, no matter what you do!
